# 2 Valaoritou (street) - Bαλαωρίτου .
Before we start i offer you a soundtrack while reading.....
Αν βγαίνεις τα βράδια βόλτες στην ακολασία Βαλαωρίτου – Συγγρού θα έχεις αναρωτηθεί ,πώς να είναι το πρωί η περιοχή.
Σήμερα λοιπόν έκανα αυτήν την βόλτα και γνώρισα την περιοχή αυτή με την διπλή ζωή… Μπορεί να ακούγεται σαν Βραζιλιάνικη σαπουνόπερα μα όντως εδώ υπάρχουν δύο ωράρια και τα χωρίζουν οι ώρες εκεί κοντά στην δύση του ηλίου
Ας , αρχίσουμε λοιπόν με την πρώτη ζωή της γειτονιάς . Δεν έχει να ζηλέψει και πολλά από την Τσιμισκή ή την Αγίας Σοφίας …Άλλωστε εδώ κάπου βρίσκεται η αρχή της Ερμού . Μία πληθώρα καταστημάτων σε υποδέχεται μέσα στα στενά όπου περικλείονται από τις οδούς Αριστοτέλη Βαλαωρίτου ,Λέοντος Σοφού , Συγγρού και Βασιλέως Ηρακλείου .Τα περισσότερα είναι μικρά μαγαζάκια με κάθε ειδών υφάσματα , ρούχα …και τα γνωστά σε όλους μας σεμεδάκια(πήχτρα)….
Υπάρχουν και μαγαζιά που λειτουργούν σαν αποθήκες , που πουλούν βιολογικά προιόντα και άλλα όπως η παπαρούνα και το Partizan και αρκετά , με fast food . To όμορφο είναι ότι εκτός από ότι πιάνει το μάτι εδώ με μια απλή βόλτα πολλοί ιδιαίτεροι χώροι κρύβονται στα άπειρα παράθυρα αν στρέψεις το κεφάλι στον ουρανό , μέσα στις φαινόμενες ‘νεκρές’ πολυκατοικίες που υψώνονται και σου κρύβουν τον ήλιο .Υπάρχουν και διάφοροι χώροι όπως γκαλερί ρούχων , διάφορα Βazaar Stores με vintage άποψη , διάφορες λέσχες , χώροι πολιτιστικού και καλλιτεχνικού ενδιαφέροντος (με πολλά και ενδιαφέροντα σεμινάρια) όπως το Πείραμα Πολυχώρος και το Bazaar του La Doze .

Όσο για το βράδυ στην Βαλαωρίτου μια βόλτα θα σας αποζημιώσει μα ενδέχεται να σας κουράσει κιόλας .Τα πρώτα μαγαζιά ‘ 4 εποχές ‘ και ‘Παπαρούνα ‘ αργότερα το Gabrinus (Tσέχικη) και η Υψικάμινος(πλέον ‘Ξένα Διάφορα’ ) υποδέχτηκαν ,εδώ και καιρό , τόσα πολλά καινούργια μαγαζιά ικανά να καταστρέφουν το τοπίο σχεδόν κάθε νύχτα γιατί εκεί πάντα υπάρχει λαός . Αν και παλαιότερα ή ατμόσφαιρα ήταν πιο οικεία και θα λέγαμε υπήρχε μια πιο όμορφη και χαλαρή προσέγγιση στην διασκέδαση, τώρα πλέον το εναλλακτικό και το κυριλέ συνυπάρχουν μέσα από μαγαζιά για όλα τα είδη και γούστα .Είναι το μέρος που όλοι θα περάσουν πριν αποφασίσουν που θα πάνε για ποτό ,παλαιότερα ήταν πέρασμα στο δρόμο για τα λαδάδικα μα τώρα είναι μια καλή στάση. Αυτό βέβαια ενοχλεί πολλούς που πλέον δεν μπορούν να διασκεδάσουν εκεί , αλλα είναι μια εξέλιξη της περιοχής που απλά έγινε με τον χρόνο . Υπάρχουν και μαγαζιά που είναι κρυμμένα από τον πανικό και την βαβούρα της περιοχής . Λίγο ψάξιμο θέλει και κάτι θα βρεθεί να σας κερδίσει.
If you go for drink at night in the hell of Valaoritou Streer you maybe have wondered, how this area looks like in the morning life .
So today I did this ride and saw the area with that “double life” ... It may sound like a Brazilian soap-opera but actually there are two moments here the one starts in the morning and the other just after the sunset. Let me, begin with the first “life” of the neighbourhood. It has the same look , like Tsimiski street or Saint Sofia Sophia street ... Besides here somewhere is the beginning of Ermou street a main street of the city-trades. . A variety of stores are hosted , in that side streets that are enclosed from Valaoritou Aristotle, Leontos Sofou, Sigrou and King Heraklion streets.
Most are small shops with all kinds of fabrics, clothes .. There are shops that act as warehouses, which sell biological products and other like Pparouna Bar- Restaurant and Partizan and other fast food shops. The good thing is that beyond what your eye can see here with a small walk , there are many places hiding behind so many windows you can see, if you rise your hand up in the sky. That buildings here may seem dead by time and hide the sun from you but there are places worth seeing in there clothe galleries , art galleries , bazaar places with vintage stuff or places with cultural and art sessions offering lessons on many things like dance-theater and perfoming or visual arts seminars. Like multiplex “ Peirama “ and the bazaar store of the bar “La Doze”.

As for the night in Valaoritou a ride will reward you , the time you are spending there ,but you may be a bit tired. The oldest bars and restaurants '4 EPOXES' and 'Paparoyna ' later Gabrinus (Chechz-pub ) and ‘Ipsikaminos” (now "Xena Diafora”) hosted a long time ago , So many new shops capable of destroying the place almost every night because there's always many people there.
While previously the atmosphere was more intimate and we would say there was a more beautiful and relaxed approach to fun, now the alternative style coexists with the trendy style, in the small and big , shops of all types and tastes. It is a place that everyone will go before deciding where to stop for a drink, formerly was a place you needed to pass to the road to “ Ladadika” an oldest place with bars but now is a good place to stop to have your drink . This of course bothers many who no longer can have fun there, but it is a development of the area that was just in time. There are shops that are hidden from the noise and panic in the area. A little searching and you can find the bar that matches to your style.
